Match Point showcased how a health-based garden can be designed sympathetically within the landscape and be both beneficial for wildlife and humans. The centre of the design is The Championship: Wimbledon inspired low impact tennis court and clubhouse.

Good health is not merely the absence of illness or disease but is the balance of physical social and mental wellbeing. We designed the garden with health at its heart. We achieved this by creating a garden which allowed for physical activity (tennis court), a space to socialise (clubhouse) and a calming environment (planting and water feature). The garden called on dense planting and semi-mature birch trees to create a sense of serenity whilst the purples and whites increased the calming effect with a subtle nod to the Wimbledon brand. The introduction of the mirror pool added to the biophilia of the garden and allowed for light reflections to dance upon the interior wall of the clubhouse.

Durning the show the garden received strong feedback and saw a few familiar faces pop in for a visit.
A monographic clubhouse allows the green, purple and white planting to take centre stage both inside and out. Vibrant purple plants inspire energy, while airy and light plants gently rustle to create a calm space in which to disconnect from the pressures of life.
The clubhouse’s bold black exterior elevates the planting yet is virtually invisible from a distance. The minimalistic, light interior provides an airy, welcoming space. Utilising ground screws and recycled composite timber the clubhouse provides a low impact sheltered location to relax after a match.
